We had a very nice 4th with our own sweet little family. We rode bikes in the ally and played in the garage in the morning. (I packed ;). Nate grilled us up some hot dogs for lunch. We went to an adorable and not very crowded parade in Burien at 3. It was perfect. We grilled chicken and had sweet corn for dinner. After dinner, Nate and I watched the kids put on a "magic show". We started singing God Bless America, The National Anthem, America the Beautiful, and Proud to be an American. Grace and Evelyn we soooooo annoyed with us so we continued to sing louder and more obnoxiously. It was awesome ;). We put kids to bed and then around 9:45 it got dark and people all around started shooting off fireworks. Nate and I grabbed a beer and some blankets and headed up to the 3rd floor porch. There were soooooo many people shooting off fireworks. It was unbelievable. Across the Puget Sound, in Bremerton, all along the coast there were constant fireworks. Then all around the house people were shooting them up all around West Seattle. We woke Grace and Evelyn up, bundled them up, gave them glow bracelets and watched for an hour. An awesome memory we won't forget for awhile. Thanks Seattle!!!
